As a first-generation Chicana, I strive to shed light onto the stories of those who are otherwise marginalized. My work is heavily influenced by expressionism, where inner thoughts and emotions veil over the real-world. We live in a time where it is crucial to make our voices heard, and through lighting, I cultivate a platform that mesh interior and exterior elements together in order to enhance and elevate the overall story being told in the theatre.
